Extraordinary carbon projects need extraordinary machines: HA-CO Carbon therefore uses a winding machine that is unique in the world, with which components with lengths of up to 40 metres and diameters of up to 1,000 mm can be manufactured. The machine can be used to wind on a core or without a core. The system was developed with specialists from Waltritsch & Wachter and is supplemented by a modular tempering furnace which can be used over the entire length of the component to harden the resin.
 
 This plant was also used to manufacture the 30 tubes, up to 40 meters long, of the carbon sculpture "Mae West", which is erected at Effnerplatz in Munich.

Large CNC portal milling machine

LARGE CNC PORTAL MILLING MACHINE 
 
 
 
The large 5-axis portal milling machine from HA-CO Carbon has a working range of X = 20,000mm, Y = 6,000mm and Z = 3,000mm and with its dimensions is one of the largest milling machines in southern Germany. This means that complete vehicle and ship models can be milled in original size from a single block and in one clamping. The extreme formats and an accuracy of 0.06mm offer interesting possibilities especially for tool and mould making. 
 
The use of 3D CAD and CAM accelerates the process flow and simplifies the programming of free-form surfaces and 5-axis geometries. 
 
In addition, the machine has a touch probe system with which it can be used as a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) for measuring and checking large components.
MILLING SERVICES 
 
Apart from machining our own lightweight components, we also offer milling services in the form of contract milling and mould making.
